Our

Indoor & Outdoor

Our preschool environment has a bright and welcoming classroom with a spacious enclosed outdoor play area with bikes, playhouse, sand shed, mud kitchen, water area, wooden climbing wall and play frame with slide.

We have recently renovated an unused outside area into our sensory garden, which provides our children with a safe area to explore the natural world.

Caring

for Every Child

At KCEY, we are committed to delivering a high-quality preschool experience within a safe and stimulating environment.

We foster mutual trust, respect, and confidence between staff, children, families, the committee, and the wider community, working together in the best interests of every child.

KCEY operates a staff-to-child ratio of 1:8, which may be adjusted where additional or special needs are identified.

How

We Are Regulated

KCEY is registered with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and is inspected annually to ensure correct implantation of guidelines contained within the Minimum Standards Guidance.

During the inspection time, Parents/guardians will be notified and you may be selected to complete a questionnaire, this is to ensure the preschool meets the minimum standards of care, as a requirement for all preschools.

We are also regulated and inspected by the Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI).

Our

committee

Our playgroup is run by a parent-led committee, made up of parents and carers of children who attend the setting. This ensures the playgroup reflects the needs of our families and meets all legal and regulatory requirements.

The Management Committee is responsible for the overall governance of the playgroup, including finances, policies, and long-term planning. While our staff manage the day-to-day running, the committee provides support and oversight to ensure the playgroup continues to offer a safe, caring, and high-quality environment for all children.
